PM's call for developed nation status for India is inspirational, eminently doable: ASSOCHAM

New Delhi, 15th August 2022: Enthused by 76th Independence Day's address by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, ASSOCHAM today said the call from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort for making India a developed nation in the next 25 years is an aspiration that would infuse a renewed confidence in every Indian in achieving the avowed objective. 

'' When the Prime Minister gives a call to the nation that nothing short of achieving a status of a developed nation for India would suffice, that is a great inspiration for all of us," ASSOCHAM Secretary General Mr Deepak Sood said, adding,'' the country is committed to become self-sufficient in most of the critical areas, including renewable energy, as reiterated emphatically by the Prime Minister''. 

The ASSOCHAM Secretary General Mr  Sood said , ''the Prime Minister 's clarion call to India's private sector to go and dominate the world market (Hame Vishwa Mei Chha Jaana hai)  would be fully honoured by Indian entrepreneurs, including MSMEs and the StartUps''. Mr Sood said '' it is up to us - Indian industry to rise up to the call given by the Prime Minister that India would not lag behind in fulfilling requirements of the global market. The Atma Nirbhar has this global ambition built into it, the Prime Minister has emphasised''. His call for making India a developed nation is eminently doable, the chamber Secretary General said.  

The ASSOCHAM said in his Independence Day speech the Prime Minister has reminded all the governments -the Centre, States, and local bodies to come up to the requirements of an aspirational society. ''It shows how the Prime Minister has set challenging tasks for the governments themselves at all levels as the country enters the Amrit Kaal of next 25 years.''   He said the roadmap would be people centric parameters of achieving the status of a developed nation. That is quite an inspirational address from the Red Fort, ASSOCHAM said.
