Task Force on Alternative Fuels

Alternative fuels are rapidly driving the concept that seeks to revolutionize the carbon emission industry in India. It refers to a range of sustainable, low-carbon alternatives to traditional fuels, such as hydrogen, biofuels, synthetic fuels, Ethanol & biodiesel that can help to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution. As India seeks to meet its ambitious climate targets and transition towards a carbon-neutral economy by 2070, the adoption of Future Fuels has become a key priority for policymakers and industry players alike. One of the most promising Future Fuels in India is hydrogen, which can be produced from renewable energy sources. Other Future Fuels such as biofuels, which are produced from renewable biomass sources, and synthetic fuels, which are produced using renewable energy and carbon capture technology, also hold significant potential for decarbonizing the Indian Industry.
