Himachal Pradesh, known as Land of Gods, famous for its topographic diversity, pristine natural beauty is one of the fastest growing states in India. The State Government of Himachal Pradesh offers a wide range of policy and fiscal incentives for businesses under the Industrial Policy, 2017. The state has also undertaken other policies such as Tourism Policy 2005 and IT Policy 2001 for up gradation of these sectors in the state.

The state has the fastest-growing regions in the pharmaceutical industry in India and suitable agro-climatic conditions which support cultivation of multiple crops, vegetables and fruits around the year.

Tourism is another key sector of Himachal Pradesh and contributes 7 per cent to the state GDP.

Considering a strong potential in the state ASSOCHAM formed a Himachal State Council. India\\\'s leading Herbal & Ayurveda service provider, Exporter & manufacturer, Jitender Sodhi, Chairman & Managing Director, Ayush Group of Companies India has taken charge as the Chairman of ASSOCHAM Himachal Pradesh Council.

Elaborating on the priorities for the year 2021-22 and beyond, ASSOCHAM Himachal State council would like to work as an equal partner with State Government by working closely towards revamping the economy by covering all the thrust sectors for overall sustainable growth and development of the state. Main aim of the council would be to build a strong and diverse council for Himachal Pradesh which will lead in growth and sustenance of the sectors in the State.
