The Chemical Conclave "Revolution towards Sustainable India"

The Chemical industry has touched various facets of human life and environment. From industrial chemical to plastics, pharmaceutical, agriculture, food, chemical manufacturing, the sector has played a vital role in contributing significantly to every household, industry and Indian economy. With changing times and the world transitioning to a green future, the sector has witnessed a paradigm shift. The positive sign is thrust towards sustainable processes and innovations to adhere to the stated objectives of emission reduction to meet 2030 goals for sustainable development. The sector is focusing to move towards the key agenda of SDG to ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its natural resources. This makes it imperative to maintain a socio-economic balance without disturbing the environment. Getting adequate skilled manpower with relevant training will contribute towards ensuring safety, health and environment and overall productivity of the organisation. To meet the global standards, being compliance driven adds an impetus to the productivity of organisation. 

Maharashtra is aiming to become a one-trillion-dollar economy. Well-developed infrastructure, subsidies, skilled manpower, land availability, good business atmosphere and single window clearances to name a few, has led Maharashtra to be the most favoured and lucrative destination for domestic and foreign investors. With around 13 chemicals zones spread across the State makes Maharashtra the most conducive state for Chemical industry.

With this background, ASSOCHAM Maharashtra State Development Council (MSDC) is organising ‘The Chemical Conclave – Revolution towards Sustainable India’, on 30 June 2023 in Mumbai.  The Conclave will witness the conglomeration of key stakeholders from Government, industry, international partners, associations and academicians. The session will focus on the various factors that impact the industry from policy advocacy to sustainable solutions.
