National Legal Excellence Awards - 2022

The primary, secondary and tertiary sector of the Indian economy is growing and expanding by the minute owing to technology, ease of doing business practices, deregulation, to state the few. Imagining the economy or the country without law and order is not only a utopian thought but also a barbaric one. Therefore, the role played by the legal professionals in India and their contribution to the economy as vessel bearers of Law, Oder and Justice is quintessential.

While legal profession is one of the oldest professions known to mankind, Law in India has evolved from religious prescription to today’s constitutional framework, traversing through secular legal systems and the common law. A lawyer’s role in today’s India is very diverse, i.e., from providing expert consultation to representation of people before court of law; from being office bearers of the Courts to assisting the legislative wing of the government in framing of law and regulation; from raising a corporate entity to their effective functioning by the books and their expansion thereof.  ASSOCHAM being an industry chamber with prominence in policy advocacy holds high regard to such legal professionals who in their capacity have contributed to the law either by way of litigation/research/advocacy/academics or have been instrumental in the corporate sector.

We at ASSOCHAM innately believe that appreciation and recognition are powerful motivators that have a direct impact on enhanced performance, productivity, morale, employee retention and overall satisfaction. Therefore, to acknowledge the significant contribution made by legal luminaries from different walks of life ASSOCHAM is pleased to announce National Legal Excellence Awards 2023 in various categories.

ASSOCHAM’s National Council for Legal Affairs and Regulatory Reforms takes this opportunity to invite law firms, individual practitioners, General Counsels, leading professionals of the legal fraternity in the country to nominate themselves for the aforesaid awards.

The ASSOCHAM National Legal Excellence Awards, 2023 edition aims at rewarding the outstanding and distinguished accomplishments by the General Counsels, academic institutions, universities, and law firms in the respective practice areas/ sector of service. The prestigious award in various categories shall be based on the work undertaken during financial year 2021-2022 undertaken by law firms, in-house counsels, private practitioners.

ASSOCHAM has invited an independent panel of distinguished dignitaries from the industry and legal practicing or having expertise in diverse sectors to evaluate the nomination forms.
