ILLNESS TO WELLNESS Webinar on "Managing Omicron For Children: Symptoms & Curative Actions"

  • 25 Jan, 2022
  • 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Amid the unabated rise of the COVID–19 new variant, Omicron, medical experts warn that it is highly transmissible and spreads at much more speed than delta variant, and children are at a higher risk either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. It has also been observed that the children between 10 and 12 years of age group show more symptoms especially upper respiratory tract symptoms. Akin to adults and elderly people, children also experience the various symptoms of COVID–19 such as, fever, fatigue, cough, and loss of smelling sense and taste are some of the common symptoms which are highly common and prevalent.

Although, the good sign of relief is that the recovery rate is as high as more than 97 percent. However, one should not take Omicron lightly because only a less fraction of the patient is becoming sick as hospitalization numbers are rising already. This situation is tougher for children with uncontrolled diabetic, or bronchitis or asthma.

We collectively must not to panic yet not to take it lightly and follow appropriate covid norms and behaviour till the time this pandemic is over.

With the paramount objectives to cascade awareness and disseminate wisdom on managing Omicron with curative actions especially among children for their safer and healthier life, under Illness To Wellness campaign, ASSOCHAM is organizing a webinar on “Managing Omicron For Children: Symptoms & Curative Actions” scheduled on Tuesday, 25th January 2022 from 3.00 PM To 4.00 PM.
