Developing Sustainable and Innovative Business Models for Battery or Energy as a Services

The much-awaited Draft Battery Swapping Policy was released by Niti Aayog on 20th April 2022 and industry recommendations  are sought by 5th  June 2022. The policy broadly touches upon all aspects that are critical to develop and sustain the battery swapping ecosystem in the country. Keeping the draft policy as the nodal point of deliberations , we organizing the ASSOCHAM conference on Developing Sustainable and Innovative Business models for ‘Battery or Energy as a Service’ to deliberate on  the key recommendations which can be submitted to the Government. 
 
The policy is also a welcome addition to the steps by the Government to promote Electric Vehicles (EV). However, many questions about fiscal incentives, interoperability standards, GST rates, data sharing and the timelines are still unclear. This program will provide a platform for deliberations on the draft policy and will assist policy makers in getting the opinions of the industry leaders.
 
ASSOCHAM intends to collate the views of industry and present the recommendations to Niti Aayog for their kind consideration.
