Conference on Sustainable Cluster Development - An Holistic Approach

Cluster development is the economic development of business clusters. The cluster concept has rapidly attracted attention from governments, consultants, and academics since it was first proposed. Cluster development is an important new direction in economic policy. Building on past efforts in macroeconomic stabilization, privatization, market opening, and reducing the costs of doing business, clusters can enhance competitiveness in today’s increasingly complex, knowledge-based, and dynamic economy especially by the micro, small and medium size enterprises.

Timely, affordable, and adequate credit is one of the most critical factors for growth and development of MSMEs in a state. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India (GoI) has adopted the Cluster Development approach as a key strategy for enhancing the productivity and competitiveness as well as capacity building of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and their collectives in the country.

To deliberate on cluster focused best practices which have evolved across clusters in the state of Tamil Nadu as well as across the nation, ASSOCHAM Tamil Nadu State Development Council in association with Grant Thornton Bharat LLP (Knowledge Partner) is planning to organize a Conference on Sustainable Cluster Development - An Holistic Approach, Thursday, 25^th May 2023 at Hyatt Regency, Chennai. The Program will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Thiru T.M. Anbarasan, Government of Tamil Nadu.
