ASSOCHAM Rajasthan Healthcare Summit 2023

  • 29 Sep, 2023

ASSOCHAM with its principles of SEED: sustainability, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and digitization serve as a bridge between the industry and government on policy and regulatory, ease of business and cross cutting sectoral issues.

India\'s healthcare industry is expected to grow to hit $50 billion in size by 2025. As healthcare has become more focused on innovation and technology over the past many years, about 80% of the healthcare system aims to increase investment in digital healthcare tools in the coming five years. Rajasthan state has a mix of healthcare facilities ranging from primary health centers to specialized tertiary care hospitals. The state\'s healthcare infrastructure includes various facilities such as Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers, District Hospitals, Medical Colleges, and Tertiary Care Hospitals & Specialty Hospitals etc.

Rajasthan has a network of public healthcare facilities, including primary health centers (PHCs), community health centers (CHCs), district hospitals, and tertiary care hospitals. These facilities are managed by the state government and provide healthcare services to the general population. The state government has implemented health insurance schemes like the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana (BSBY) to provide financial protection to vulnerable families. Under this scheme, beneficiaries are provided with cashless medical treatment in empaneled hospitals.

Telemedicine services have been introduced in some parts of Rajasthan to improve access to healthcare services, especially in remote areas. This allows patients to consult with doctors remotely through video calls. The state has implemented various programs to improve maternal and child health, such as Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). These programs aim to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. Rajasthan has a rich tradition of traditional medicine systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, and Homeopathy (AYUSH). These systems coexist with modern allopathic medicine and are promoted by the government.

Despite efforts to improve healthcare, Rajasthan faces challenges such as a shortage of healthcare professionals, disparities in healthcare access between rural and urban areas, and the need for infrastructure development in remote regions.

In above context ASSOCHAM through its Rajasthan State Development Council is organizing Rajasthan Healthcare Summit Focusing on Innovation and Future Prospects in Healthcare on Friday, 29 September 2023 at 04:00 PM, at Hotel Jaipur Marriott, Tonk Road, Jaipur.

The Summit would cover a wide range of areas related to healthcare innovations, technologies, policies, financial trends into healthcare systems, medical education and training and trends that would shape the future of healthcare in the region.
