An Ecosystem for Solar Manufacturing in India

  • 19 Apr, 2022
  • 6:30PM - 8:30PM

Solar power is a strategic need for India today and development of sustainable domestic manufacturing industry serves national interests. An end-to-end domestic supply chain would be critical in making India’s solar equipment cost-competitive in the global market. Capital and energy-intensive facilities of polysilicon, ingot, wafer and cell manufacturing require greater support and protection from the central and State Government.

ASSOCHAM jointly with Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and New Venture Fund USA has conducted a study on ‘An Ecosystem for Solar Manufacturing in India’.  For efficacy of the study report, ASSOCHAM had  consulted Solar Developers and Manufacturers, manufacturers of Module & Cell, Glass, EVA and Backsheet manufacturers, encapsulants, polysilicon, wafer etc. to comprehensively evaluate the gaps being faced by the industry. The consultative process provided industry inputs and suggestions for decisive measures needed to promote integrated, domestic solar PV manufacturing value chain.

We are pleased to inform you that Shri R K Singh Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy, Govt of India has kindly concurred to join the Session as Chief Guest on April 19, 2022 at 6.15 pm – 8.00 pm.

On behalf of ASSOCHAM, we take this opportunity to cordially invite you and your esteemed organization’s active participation for this prestigious event.
