2nd Edition of Manufacturing and MSME Conclave 2023

Manufacturing and MSMEs, the future of industrialization and growth. Today, manufacturing is considered at the forefront of our shift to net-zero and India has clearly set its agenda for a sustainable future through its commitment to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030 and Net Zero by 2070. Sustainability requires a proactive approach, and the adoption of real actions contribute to the company\'s overall impact.

In today’s scenario, industry is on a continuous move for sustainable investments as part of the global sustainable investment matrix and is emphasized more on ESG initiatives. The sector has always acted as the forerunner and have been imperative towards industrial and economic development of the country. The sector contributes significantly towards the country’s GDP and GVA through its national and international trade. To ensure resilient and sustainable growth, factors that play critical role are ESG, green investments and the continuous focus on building industrial parks and SEZs.

With this perspective in view and towards enabling a greater dialogue and action, ASSOCHAM is hosting 2nd edition of National Manufacturing and MSME Conclave 2023 focussing on ESG, Industrial Parks and SEZs and Business Excellence Awards on Friday, 6th October 2023 at 10.00 a.m. at Kolkata, West Bengal.

The conclave aims to highlight the ESG practices, including ESG reporting and investing, industrial policies, schemes and regulations in the realm of manufacturing and MSMEs, focus on strategic thought, sustainable action, stakeholder impact and other aspects and would help us to propel a vision for developing the Manufacturing and MSME sector and to make them globally competitive. Apart, this national meet would project the industrial parks, SEZs as well as investment generation and showcase widespread avenues of investment opportunities in the region leading to sustainability as well as inclusive development and growth of industry and give it a status of a vibrant Manufacturing and MSME hub in the near future.

The speakers shared valuable insights on the engineering/manufacturing industry and MSMEs which gave a realistic view of the sector and the industries pertaining to and there was a wider participation of leading companies related to the manufacturing and MSME sector.
