Global Summit on Responsible Corporate Governance & Sustainability Reporting

  • 11 Dec, 2024

The sustainability has become an integral part and parcel to responsible corporate governance. This includes compliances to key regulations under accounting, assurance, and reporting that help organizations track, measure, and disclose their non-financial performance, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions based on sustainability metrics. There is an increasing demand for companies to report transparently on their sustainability performance and be held accountable for their social and environmental impacts. The shift towards sustainability is not only being driven by regulatory requirements but also by growing expectations from investors, consumers, and civil societies. Stakeholders demand greater transparency and accountability from organizations to ensure they are financially responsible but also, they are environmentally conscious and socially inclusive.

In India, the sustainability reporting frameworks and assurance standards as part of BRSR Core are evolving rapidly to meet these demands beyond various other compliances. However, businesses face challenges in aligning with the frameworks, ensuring the credibility of reports, and embedding sustainability into core business practices for holistic governance. To discuss and deliberate on the latest trends and insights into the evolving landscape of sustainability vis-à-vis the impact of greenwashing on governance, ASSOCHAM-ACCA is organizing a Global Summit on 11th December 2024 in New Delhi, India.

The summit provides a platform for experts, professionals, and thought leaders to amalgamate, exchange ideas and technical knowhow and explore how their respective organizations can enhance the credibility of their sustainability information through third-party assurance and how integrated reporting can contribute to long-term value creation.
