Disability is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. It has been well recognized that elderly persons constitute one of the most vulnerable groups, who have more chances of developing chronic disease, infections, and subsequent disabilities. As a result, the elderly population is at greater risk of being less healthy than the nonelderly population.” Disability” and “elderly” encompasses a much larger spectrum of the conditions with unique requirements and needs.
