Building Global Capabilities for International Trade with South & Southeast Asia

Indian businesses are leading the export led economic growth and thereby creating employment opportunities, increased per capita income and strengthening the eco system. Building the capacity of exporters is crucial for achieving export-led economic growth. This involves improving their skills, knowledge, and resources to enhance their ability to compete in global markets and increase exports. Awareness of Global level standards and certifications is also important.

South and Southeast Asia are key partners of ours for priority sectors including agro and processed food. There is a need for enhanced cross-border e-commerce offer new avenues for collaboration for businesses. To strengthen exports from the region, ASSOCHAM is pleased to present a program in partnership with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Branch Secretariat Kolkata. We are hosting a workshop in the region, titled, ‘Building Global Capabilities for International Trade with South & Southeast Asia’, on 8th Jan 2026 at Kolkata.

The day long program will also have presence of Port Trust, Industry stakeholders, Logistics service providers, Foreign Diplomats and consul Generals of Nepal, and other Asian countries.
