Bharat GI Mahotsav

Geographical Indication (GI) is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin. The GI tagged products are \"Invaluable treasures of Incredible India\" and aims to build confidence amongst the buying community.  The Government has taken several proactive steps to promote the GI tagged products in the global market.

Keeping in view of the Government of India’s initiative to build ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Local goes Global’, ASSOCHAM with the support of Ministry of MSME, Govt of India is organizing “Bharat GI Mahotsav” from 28^th to 30^th March 2024 under the theme “Enterprising charm of India’s GI” at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The Mahotsav will be showcasing the strength of Indian Geographically Indicated products from across sectors.

The objective is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and promoting products with unique geographical origins, while also providing a platform for producers to connect with consumers, buyers, and other stakeholders. The Mahotsav will serve as a celebration of diverse cultures, traditions, and craftsmanship associated with these products.
