“ Badalte Ritu Aur Sankraman - Flu transmission during Weather Transition

  • 25 Aug, 2022
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00PM

In India, the monsoon season (July to August) often marks the peak for influenza virus common cold fever circulation, with subsequent peaks occurring in the winter (November-February). Due to regional climate differences, the date of the influenza season actually differs across the nation. GOI presently advises influenza vaccine every year for high-risk populations, such as healthcare workers, expectant mothers, and those with long-term illnesses. Currently, the government does not provide normal public health services that include the influenza vaccine.

Those who are aware of having allergies should exercise extra caution in the spring. Pollen can induce unpleasant seasonal symptoms, but people with allergies are also more prone to get the flu since their immune systems are already compromised.

Unfortunately, the double-blind research trial did not reveal that supplements like echinacea, vitamins E and C, and zinc could aid in the prevention of the common cold. However, taking the appropriate precautions and being knowledgeable could prove crucial in preventing these problems.

Five main climatic subtypes can be found in India:

Warm and humid in the Deccan region, hot and dry in the west, composite across the upper Gangetic plains and central India, temperate in some highland spots in the Deccan region, and extreme cold in parts of north and northeastern India that are near the Himalayas. The best prevention is always vigilance combined with the correct knowledge

With the paramount objective to cascade awareness and disseminate knowledge about  symptomps and precautions of influenzas, common cold and fever  to lead a healthier, happier, and prosperous life, ASSOCHAM CSR Council, under ILLNESS TO WELLNESS campaign, is organizing a webinar on “ Badalte Ritu Aur Sankraman” - Flu transmission during Weather Transition scheduled on Thursday, 25th August 2022, 11.00 AM To 12.00 PM.
