ASSOCHAM Goa Council presents MSME workshop

  • 05 Mar, 2025

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are the backbone of India’s economy and are considered as the catalyst for socio-economic transformation and are extremely critical to meet the national imperatives of financial inclusion. It encourages innovation and creativity, drives economic dynamism and fosters a culture of entrepreneurship. It contributes more than 29% to the GDP and is responsible for 50% of the country's total exports and accountable for one-third of India's manufacturing output. It not only plays a crucial role promoting industrialization of rural and backward areas but also generates employment opportunities.

Despite playing a crucial role in India’s economic development, this is a sector that is struggling to survive due to the lack of access to credit and other roadblocks’ enterprises often face challenges such as resource constraints, limited access to capital, and a highly competitive market environment. They face difficulties in accessing credit, which is necessary for growth and expansion that creates a notable credit gap. Addressing this credit gap is crucial for unlocking MSME's growth potential and fostering a more self-reliant and sustainable economy. With the rise of digital innovation and technology, it will enable us to bridge this credit gap and drive economic growth of the country.

In this perspective, ASSOCHAM Goa State Council in collaboration with MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Goa established under the Ministry of MSME, Govt of India is organizing MSME Workshop “Unlocking the potential of MSME: Challenges & Way Forward “on 5th March 2025 at Fortune, Miramar- Goa at 9:30 AM onwards.
