3rd Edition of Manufacturing and MSME Conclave

Manufacturing and MSMEs are at the forefront for industrial and economic developments of a country. The interface of humans and smart technologies, herein referred to as Industrial Revolution 5.0, plays a pivotal role in scaling up the engineering/manufacturing domain and helps manufacturers (including MSMEs and Startups) to gain visibility, traceability and get data required to build and manage processes and to achieve sustainability goals in place. Globally, the industry 5.0 market size was valued at USD 54.21 billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach around USD 822.38 billion by 2033 by growing at a CAGR of nearly 31.25% from 2024 to 2033. The industry 5.0 market is driven by the growing need for large-scale customization.

India aspires to be a global manufacturing hub through initiatives such as Make in India, Skill India and Start-up India. Industry 5.0, being a human machine approach, especially with a focus on bringing tailor made products for consumers, has great potential to integrate and support initiatives to enable India to be as forerunner in smart and collaborative manufacturing systems.

With this perspective in view and towards enabling a greater dialogue and action, ASSOCHAM is hosting 3rd edition of Manufacturing and MSME Conclave focussing on Industry 5.0 - The Future of Manufacturing and MSMEs and Business Excellence Awards 2024 on Friday, 17^th January 2025 at 10.00 a.m. at Kolkata, West Bengal.

The objective of the conclave is to provide a detailed understanding on Industry 5.0 and its contributions, especially in the realm of Engineering/Manufacturing and to highlight the Government policies, schemes, standards, rules and regulations, best practices, innovations, etc relating to implementation of Industry 5.0 in the manufacturing ecosystem. Besides, the forum would help in networking with peers, experts, leaders, etc and help to draft a way forward on how better industry 5.0 could be adopted in the manufacturing processes for increased as well as value added productivity, leading to further development and growth of the engineering/manufacturing workspace.

In addition to the conclave, we are organizing ASSOCHAM Business Excellence Awards to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Corporates and MSMEs and the best Business practices followed by them, leading to business transformation and sustainability. The Business Excellence awards are highest recognition which has a significant and positive impact.
