ASSOCHAM today joins the nation in celebrating India's historic landing on the moon, congratulating the formidable ISRO

NEW DELHI , August 23, 2023: ASSOCHAM today joins the nation in celebrating India's historic landing on the moon, congratulating the formidable ISRO and its team of spirited scientists and engineers for achieving the feat showing  immaculate precision and success of  Chandrayaan 3 mission.    

  '' It is India's moment on the moon'', ASSOCHAM Secretary General Mr Deepak Sood said. As Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said, landing on the moon , the first by any nation near the lunar  South Pole, reflects India's new resolve  to cross all barriers in our journey of exploration , premised on a solid foundation of science,technology and innovation.  

 Congratulating ISRO chief Mr S Somanath,  Mr. Sood said, '' Your team of scientists are gems of India. After your victorious words 'India is on the Moon' , the entire nation salutes them and their ever increasing aspirations to continue the country's exploration into the universe''.  

 He said ISRO has incredibly demonstrated to the world how big feats can be achieved with a prudent and limited budget, raising eyebrows of the developed world about the financial resources being no constraints to national goals. ''Today's moon landing is a decisive step towards India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047''.   

  As ISRO acknowledged, the successful Chandrayaan 3 Mission is also an example of contributions by several private sector companies as well in the nation goal , as critical as the Moon landing.
