Under the trailblazing leadership of its current president, Mr. Sajjan Jindal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Steel Ltd., India, ASSOCHAM has emerged as a prominent industry leader worldwide in the fight against global warming, and in enhancing energy security.  The next competition for 2009 will be held at the legendary Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Kharagpur, India. The Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition™ invites students from India’s apex institutes of engineering, science and technology, and management, such as its fabled IITs, IIMs and NITs to come up with new and renewable sustainable technology business plans to combat climate change and fortify India’s ― and, by analogy, the world’s ― crucial energy security.
