New technology in the infrastructure space these days is standing at crossroads. The world is knocking at our door, all we have to do is to identify, try and select what suits best for the nation. In spite of the Government’s focus on adopting emerging technologies at policy levels by publishing specifications and guidelines, there is seemingly a major inertia in bringing these technologies to mainstream.

The nation is facing major challenges like scarcity of stone aggregates, contractual limitations hindering new technologies, global environmental obligations, outdated techniques still being used and unsatisfactory driving quality in general. Besides, there is resistance from field officers to adopt these newer technologies due to lack of updated knowledge and general apathy, which act as a roadblock to our vision of sustainable world-class infrastructure.

The National Council on Roads and Highways of ASSOCHAM has been taking initiatives towards achieving progress on this front. It is committed to bring together all stakeholders on a common platform to brainstorm and come up with workable ideas. As a step towards this, ASSOCHAM is organizing 3rd edition of International Conference ROADTECH 2017- on August 29, 2017 at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi. We have invited Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping to address the participants at the Conference. The objective is to pool suggestions and solutions coming from all stakeholders and to liaise between the road fraternity and the Government to bring about the transformation the nation needs.

We shall be glad if you could kindly attend the conference and also nominate your colleagues to participate in the conference. We would also request your organization to be the PARTNER / SPONSOR for the conference as per details enclosed for your kind reference.
