Certificate of Origin


                    

CERTIFICATION OF ORIGIN
 
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is officially authorized by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to issue Certificate of Origin (Non Preferential) in respect of goods exported from India. ASSOCHAM also attests Export Documents like Invoices, Packing List, Declaration etc. as required by the applicant for facilitating their trade activities.

Documents Required for issuing Certificate of Origin
 
·         After filling the details in the COO sheet, the same should be signed and stamped by the authorized signatory of the company with the following documents:
·         A covering letter addressed to “Senior Director (International Affairs), ASSOCHAM on the company’s letter head mentioning the details of the Certificate of Origin to be issued.
·         Copy of the invoice
·         Packing List
·         Indemnity Bond. The bond should be provided on a Rs.100 Non-Judicial stamp paper. The Bond is a continuing Indemnity Bond and need not be submitted for every set of documents
 ·         Photocopy of one full set of the COO for Chamber’s records
 ·         Payment based on the number of sets required
 ·         Download Application Form

Visa Recommendation Letters
The Chamber issues visa recommendation letters for its Members while applying for visa in the Embassies/High Commissions for business visits. (Visa Recommendation Letters are issued only to the Members of ASSOCHAM)

Documents Required for issuing Visa Recommendation Letter
 
·         A letter addressed to “Secretary General, ASSOCHAM” on the company’s letter head mentioning the details of the visa recommendation letter to be issued, including name, designation, passport number of the person travelling abroad.
·         Copy of the passport of the person travelling
·         Copy of the invitation letter issued by the organization from the visiting country
·         The recommendation letters are issued only to Members on a nominal fee of Rs.200/- + 18% GST per letter.
